Job summary

H2O Care Partners is seeking a Rotary Drill Apprentice to support the operation and maintenance of drilling rigs for wells, monitoring, geothermal, and related applications. The role is highly physical and outdoor, requiring adherence to safety protocols and the ability to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities include assisting the lead driller, clearing cuttings, digging mud pits, handling heavy drill rods, and rig teardown.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for long periods and repeatedly lift heavy equipment (up to 75+ lbs).
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot hand tools and heavy machinery.
• Strong safety awareness and physical endurance for outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead driller with rig setup and unloading tools.
• Clear drill cuttings and keep work site clean and organized.
• Dig mud pits and trenches to recirculate drilling fluids.
• Manually handle drill rods and casings, often weighing 50–75+ pounds.
• Assist in rig teardown and reload equipment for transport.
