Discovery Land Company is seeking an Outdoor Pursuits Attendant for Dune Deck Beach Club in Westhampton Beach, NY. This seasonal role (May–Sept 2027) supports outdoor activities, member services, and safety across beaches and watersports.

Responsibilities include guiding activities, stocking and preparing excursions, and attending briefings while upholding DLC standards and a positive, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the guest service industry.
• CPR certification is a plus.
• Experience in hospitality is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Outdoor pursuits Standard Operating procedure at all times.
• Stock, clean and prepare for members excursions and activities.
• Attend morning briefing and end-of-day shutdown as scheduled by management.
• Support training and staff meetings for Outdoor Pursuits.
• Be an ambassador of the property and DLC at all times.
• Assist members with activities and ensure safety in and around pools and beach.

Dune Deck Beach Club is seeking Outdoor Pursuits Attendants to join the Outdoor Pursuits Department. This is a seasonal role from May to September 2027. The Outdoor Pursuits Attendant will ensure that the highest level of service is offered to the members of our Club by providing the member with personal and professional service throughout the property when pertaining to any and all outdoor activities. The Outdoor Pursuits Attendant role is a very hands on role and encompasses the organization, instructing, and encouraging of activities, and as much participation as possible in all activities on property. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.**Key Responsibilities*** General + Follow the Outdoor pursuits Standard Operating procedure at all times. + Perform duties and tasks throughout the Club as assigned such as but not limited to stocking, cleaning and preparing for members excursions and activities. + Attend the morning briefing. + Attend the end of day shut down-adhering to the schedule set out by management. + Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for Outdoor Pursuits-Communicate effectively with your supervisors and managers. + Be an ambassador of the property and DLC at all times on or off property. + Maintain adherence to and stay abreast to any changes of the Employee Handbook. + Need to be on time when starting a shift, prompt with each job assignment. + Stock Control: Help to implement monthly stock take/inventories of all parts and tools require for area as advised by OP Manager. + Maintain knowledge of activities and instruct activities including, but not limited, to Surfing, Pickleball, Volleyball, Football, Baseball, Paddle boarding, Tubing, Frisbee and Watersports. + Set up and Breakdown of Movies on the Beach.* Member Related + Greeting all members. + Participate in activities and games with members. + Facilitating sporting and special events. + Helping members in and out of the water with water equipment-Insuring safety of members and children in and around the pools and beach. + Making bonfires. + Tending to members and guests utilizing Outdoor Pursuits areas, ensuring and maximizing their safety and enjoyment at all times. + Assisting members and guests in all activities.**Skills & Qualifications:*** Previous experience in the guest service industry.* CPR certification is a plus.* Certificates/qualifications preferred.* Experience in hospitality is preferred but not required - Ability to work flexible hours and on the weekends.**Additional Requirements*** Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.* Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
