Job summary

Block by Block is hiring a Cleaning Ambassador to keep public spaces clean, safe, and welcoming. You will work outdoors in a defined zone, interact with the public, and perform litter removal, weed pulling, and surface cleaning while maintaining a positive demeanor.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to walk/stand for eight hours with two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch break.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions (uniforms provided).
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English to create basic reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-visibility street-level cleaning across assigned zone.
• Greet pedestrians and provide directions and city information.
• Remove litter and graffiti from sidewalks, posts, and boxes.
• Pull weeds around tree wells, cracks, and vacant lots.
• Wipe and straighten outdoor surfaces like trash can lids and boxes.
• Complete daily task reports using basic English.
