Oregon Episcopal School seeks an Outdoor Program Instructor to begin duties in August 2025.

JOB SUMMARY: The Outdoor Program Instructor works part-time throughout the year, supporting and leading trips and experiential education programs for Lower, Middle, and Upper School students. On campus, responsibilities include leading outdoor lessons, supervising rock wall and challenge course activities, and delivering training for trips. Off campus, responsibilities include supervising students during trips in cabins, tents, or wilderness settings, with a focus on safety, accountability, and environmental respect. Collaboration with teachers and fostering student cohesion and environmental appreciation are key aspects of the role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Report to campus on time and communicate delays to the Experiential Education Director or Assistant Director.
  2. Conduct lessons, routines, and supervision duties as directed, following school policies.
  3. Provide written or verbal reflections after experiences, highlighting positives, near misses, and challenges.
  4. Maintain awareness of participants' whereabouts throughout the experience.
