Job summary

You’ll use hand tools to spread and finish pavement materials, assist with surface prep, and maintain an orderly worksite while following safety rules and coordinating with the foreman and crew.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic pavement preservation and related operations.
• Safe use of hand tools including squeegees, brooms, shovels, lutes.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and traffic control procedures.
• Strong situational awareness around moving vehicles and equipment.
• Team player with ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor crew.
• Reliable attendance; willing to work overtime and variable schedules.

Responsibilities

• Spread, smooth, finish, and clean slurry seal and related materials.
• Assist surface preparation and debris removal before material application.
• Support operations by maintaining material flow and edging.
• Set up and clean hoses, cones, signs, and tools at shift start/end.
• Work safely around trucks, traffic, and crew members.
• Coordinate with foreman and crew on workflow and safety.
• Keep tools and work areas clean and organized.
• Report unsafe conditions to the supervisor promptly.
• Follow all safety policies and jobsite rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
