Job summary

The York County Parks and Recreation Department seeks a Parks Attendant to coordinate daily operations at the McReynolds Athletic Complex, open/close gates, enforce rules, assist with programs, and guide visitors across park facilities.

Applicants should be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, be reliable with strong customer service, hold a valid Virginia driver’s license, and be willing to work flexible shifts including days, evenings and weekends. Outdoor facility experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent with some work experience involving public contact required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings and weekends.
• Experience in operating a park or similar facility is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage daily operations of the McReynolds Athletic Complex.
• Open and close park gates and facilities.
• Enforce park regulations and assist patrons with programs and events.
• Answer questions and guide participants to park locations; resolve patron concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of park facilities; monitor for safety violations.
