Job summary

SA Recycling is seeking a Burner/Torch Operator to cut oversized ferrous materials using an oxy-fuel torch to customer specifications. The role requires outdoor work in all weather with strict PPE and safety compliance.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, be able to pass a background check and drug screen, and ideally bring oxy-fuel torch experience and basic knowledge of scrap metal processing. Bi-lingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have or be able to obtain required safety training and PPE.
• Experience with oxy-fuel torch operations preferred.
• Knowledge of scrap metal processing concepts advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Safely stage materials for processing.
• Cut oversized ferrous materials with oxy-fuel torch to customer specifications.
• Inspect and maintain torch equipment for safety and efficiency.
• Follow PPE rules and safety regulations.
• Maintain fire control and a clean, ventilated workspace to prevent hazards.
