Outdoor Lifeguard - Camp Shook at Temple Israel & Camp Emeth at Forest Lake (Security)

The lifeguard maintains active surveillance of the pool area, ensuring safety and compliance with all safety rules, policies, and guidelines. Responsibilities include:

1. Responding immediately to emergency situations in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
2. Completing related reports as required.
3. Responding to challenges with possible solutions promptly.
4. Performing equipment checks and ensuring availability of appropriate equipment.
5. Checking the pool for hazardous conditions upon arrival.
6. Performing chemical testing when not guarding and taking appropriate actions.
7. Maintaining accurate records as required by the YMCA and state health department.
8. Remaining calm and objective under pressure or when challenged.
