Job summary

Boston Outdoor Preschool Network, Inc. seeks a part-time Forest Days Director to coordinate all aspects of our outdoor learning program. You will supervise teachers, volunteers, and interns, and collaborate with partner schools to ensure engaging, safe, and curriculum-aligned outdoor experiences for PreK children.

You will lead trainings, manage logistics, and maintain site safety while documenting learning and fostering environmental stewardship in varied weather and terrain.

Qualifications

• Experience leading staff, volunteers, or teams.
• Understanding of child development and SEL.
• Experience in program coordination, logistics, or education operations preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all components of Forest Days program for daily operations.
• Supervise and support Forest Days Assistant Teachers and volunteers.
• Oversee volunteers and interns and integrate them into activities.
• Serve as primary liaison between partner schools and Forest Days.
• Plan trainings, orientations, and onboarding for teachers and staff.
• Manage logistics, supplies, and site-specific rules compliance.
• Document children’s learning and ensure safety and weather preparedness.
