Job summary

Emerald Necklace Conservancy in Boston, MA seeks an Outdoor Education Manager to design and implement outdoor education programs for adults, families, children, and schools across the Emerald Necklace Parks. The role partners with the Director of Education to grow a diverse, equity-focused portfolio for the Metro Boston area.

The manager will oversee Summer Green Team and Canopy Classroom programs, develop education strategies, manage staff and volunteers, and ensure curriculum, risk management,

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience managing and facilitating outdoor nature connection programs for youth.
• Experience supervising staff.
• Relevant degree or equivalent experience welcomed.
• Commitment to inclusive learning environments.
• Advanced computer skills.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• Valid driver''s license and ability to travel within Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

• Lead logistics, scheduling, and facilitation for Summer Green Team Program (with seasonal staff).
• Hire program participants and train staff; supervise all program staff.
• Lead staff communications and schedule staff trainings.
• Ensure program curriculum is followed and risk management protocols are followed.
• Coordinate with partners; manage permits when needed.
