Job summary
BrightView Landscapes is seeking a Landscaper I to support landscape maintenance for a variety of properties in Houston. The role involves basic tasks under supervision, safe operation of commercial landscaping equipment, and helping care for plant materials.
You will perform cutting, pruning, planting, mulching, weeding, and basic preventative maintenance while maintaining a friendly demeanor with guests and customers. Great for energetic outdoors lovers.
Qualifications
- At least 18 years old and dependable.
- Able to safely operate landscaping equipment like saws and cutters.
- Certified on level 1 equipment (blower, edger, trimmer, mower).
- Familiar with basic horticultural maintenance practices.
Responsibilities
- Cut turf with power mowers, trim and edge with gas-powered tools.
- Prune shrubs and low trees to improve shape and growth.
- Plant and maintain flowerbeds.
- Operate edger and line trimmer along various areas.
- Rake leaves, mulch, and perform manual weeding as needed.
- Conduct basic maintenance to extend equipment life.
- Maintain safety and report hazards to the Crew Leader.
