Job summary

Crestwood Group in Manhattan, KS is seeking a part-time Groundskeeper to maintain the appearance and cleanliness of properties. You will perform landscaping tasks, manage debris, and support turnovers under the direction of management.

You will work outdoors most of the time, operate power tools, follow safety guidelines, and report daily timesheets to the Property Manager. A high school diploma and one year of groundskeeper experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Understanding of methods, techniques, materials, tools, and equipment used in groundskeeping.
• Ability to use required tools and equipment skillfully and safely.
• Knowledge of safety techniques and procedures when using chemicals, power tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic grounds and landscaping maintenance using power driven tools and equipment.
• Remove trash and debris from exterior areas and parking lots.
• Sweep/clean sidewalks and curbs; manage pet waste stations where applicable.
• Remove snow with snowblower and shoveling; apply ice melt as needed.
• Plant, water and maintain landscaped areas (bushes, trees, flowers).
• Fertilize lawns, trees and flowers and assist with preventive maintenance like gutter cleaning.
