Job summary

Cowlitz Indian Tribe is hiring a groundskeeper to maintain exterior areas including sidewalks, parking, lawns, and planting beds. The role emphasizes safe operation of outdoor equipment and adherence to tribal values.

The position requires physical stamina, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work varied shifts in an outdoor casino environment, with a starting wage of $17.65 per hour. Experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of related experience and/or training or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to foster a supportive team environment.
• Ability to lift 50–75 pounds repeatedly and work outdoors in all conditions.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain exterior appearance of buildings, grounds, parking, and lawns.
• Promote superior guest service and uphold the Spirit of Talicn values.
• Clean debris, empty outdoor trash, and manage landscaping tasks as needed.
• Assist in snow removal and apply deicer as necessary.
• Operate groundskeeping equipment (mowers, plows, leaf blowers, pressure washers).
• Inspect and repair irrigation and drainage features; report issues.
• Perform vegetation control and assist in maintaining landscape beds.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
