Job summary

Lutheran Life Villages is seeking a Grounds & Property Operations Supervisor to lead exterior operations across our communities. This hands-on role oversees groundskeeping, landscaping, seasonal maintenance, equipment, and exterior property needs, ensuring safety, welcome, and beauty across LLV campuses.

You’ll supervise a team of Property Technicians, plan work across multiple sites, and coordinate with management to maintain high standards of appearance and operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years of groundskeeping, landscaping, or related experience.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with mowing, landscaping, planting, pruning, mulching, seasonal cleanup, and routine grounds maintenance.
• Experience with minor snow removal and salting support preferred.
• Knowledge of landscaping practices, seasonal operations, and campus beautification.
• Equipment operation and basic mechanical knowledge.
• Strong organization, scheduling, and time-management skills.
• Ability to coordinate work across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the Field: supervise, train, schedule, and direct Property Technicians; perform grounds tasks across campuses.
• Plan & Maximize the Work: develop work schedules; coordinate staffing and priorities.
• Manage Equipment & Resources: oversee equipment, maintenance, and supplies.
• Build an In-House Grounds Operation: develop self-performing operations and service standards.
• Support Across LLV: collaborate with campus leadership, provide labor support, and assist with projects.
• Keep Safety First: ensure safety policies and procedures are followed.
