Job summary

Vonachen Group is seeking a General Cleaner for the 1st shift to maintain outdoor grounds and indoor areas at our Des Moines, IA location. The role emphasizes delivering high quality service, safety, and dependable performance in a fast-paced environment, supporting our commitment to customers and team collaboration.

Responsibilities include cleaning dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and restroom care; stocking janitor supplies; promptly reporting hazards; monitoring building security after

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
• Customer-oriented and friendly.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Stand and walk for long periods.
• Repeat the same movements.
• Frequent bending and twisting.
• Able to lift, push & pull 50lbs.
• Able to work flexible hours including evenings.

Responsibilities

• Clean, including, but not limited to, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and restroom cleaning, gathering and emptying trash bins in designated building areas following all health and safety regulations.
• Stock, organize, and maintain janitor supply rooms as needed.
• Inform management immediately of any potential safety risks or hazards and/or needed repair work.
• Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after hours.
• Complete other duties and special trainings as assigned by the supervisor.
• THIS POSITION WILL BE MAINLY OUTDOORS, WORKING ON KEEPING THE GROUNDS CLEAN- ENTRY WAYS, SIDEWALKS, ETC.
