Job summary

Sun & Ski Sports is seeking a driven Sales Associate to join our team in Phoenix. You will greet customers, provide enthusiastic service, and help create an engaging shopping experience while learning product features and benefits.

In this role you’ll participate in product knowledge clinics, support visual merchandising, and promote current offers. The position offers an hourly rate with commission based on personal sales performance, and growth opportunities within a dynamic outdoor brand.

Qualifications

• Passion for the outdoors (skiing, cycling, water sports, hiking) or enthusiasm for outdoor lifestyle.
• Previous sales or retail experience preferred.
• Strong selling and customer service skills with a proactive, results-driven approach.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to build lasting relationships with guests.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage customers with enthusiasm and a genuine smile, creating a welcoming experience.
• Deliver exceptional customer service that exceeds expectations throughout every interaction.
• Proactively learn and stay familiar with all in-store merchandise, including features, benefits, and applications.
• Attend product knowledge clinics and training camps to enhance selling ability and engagement.
• Assist with visual merchandising, ensuring product displays meet brand standards and inspire shopping.
• Stay current on all advertised items and in-store specials to effectively promote offers.
• Alert management to any suspicious behaviors or situations.
• Uphold loss prevention standards, including accurate cash handling and minimizing inventory shrink.
