Job summary

Bermex is seeking a Gas Leak Survey Technician to survey gas lines, meters, and piping for leaks using a methane detector. The role requires physical activity, outdoor work in various weather, and precise data collection. You will follow safety guidelines and report findings to management.

Education at least a high school diploma or GED, plus a valid driver’s license. Prior gas service experience is a plus; company vehicle provided for many driver-based roles.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of continuous work with same employer or 6+ months outdoors; OQ training is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Survey gas leaks by walking from site to site and identify gas line locations.
• Use a Methane Leak Detector to detect leaks and perform visual inspections of meters and lines.
• Report leak severity and follow safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Complete routes and work orders on schedule and communicate findings to management.
• Work outdoors in varied weather, maintain time management and safety standards.
