National Garden Service, LLC is seeking a part-time Garden Center Merchandiser to work at two stores in Roanoke and Vinton, VA. This outdoor role involves maintaining displays, watering plants, and assisting customers.

You must be able to work outdoors in heat, cold and rain, lift up to 30 lbs, have dependable transportation and a valid driver's license. On-the-job training and opportunities for advancement are offered.

• Interact with store personnel and customers and complete reports for each store.
• Document visits using the Go Spot Check app.

As a Garden Center Merchandiser, your workday will include:

• Display a variety of outdoor plants


• Maintain product displays


• Water all plant materials


• Develop a watering plan with the floral department manager for additional support as needed


• Ensure proper signage is in place


• Maintain a safe and clean display area


• Remove and record expired plant material


• Interacting with store personnel and customers


• Develop a positive working relationship with store management and associates


• Complete report for each store serviced


• Document every visit using the Go Spot Check app

As a Garden Center Merchandiser, you will be required to:

• Have a smart phone


• Workoutdoorsin all elements

• Have a valid driver’s license


• Lift, push and carry up to 30 lbs repetitively


• Assemble and tear down outdoor benching


• Understand and execute planograms


• Use workplace mobile apps
