Job summary

ELM Utility Services is hiring a Utility Locate Technician in Jackson, Missouri. You will work outdoors with a company vehicle to locate and mark underground utilities, ensuring safety and accuracy for excavation projects. You’ll use LaunchPoint software and follow daily tasks through a mobile system.

Starting wages are $23.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on experience. On-call rotations, overtime, and occasional night/weekend work may be required. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment drug test, MVR, and background check required.
• Safety-Sensitive DOT position compliance with regulations.
• Must be 18+ years old and have a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Work independently outdoors using a company vehicle as your mobile office.
• Accurately locate and mark underground utilities with marking paint, flags, or whiskers.
• Use mobile work system to receive daily tasks.
• Possess flexibility for on-call rotations, overtime, night and weekend work when needed.
• Read and understand English instructions and communicate clearly.
