Job summary

ArborMetrics Solutions is hiring a Consulting Utility Forester to perform field vegetation management and patrol duties across energy corridors in the United States. The role emphasizes safety, independent work, and community engagement while supporting clients with ISA pruning standards and ANSI line clearance principles.

You will conduct site assessments, mark vegetation, and coordinate with landowners and agencies.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in forestry, natural resources, or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in forestry, arboriculture, horticulture, or tree-related green industry preferred.
• Knowledge of tree identification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Experience with GIS, Microsoft Office, and iPhone.

Responsibilities

• Organize records, maps, and paperwork for patrol circuits; maintain accurate documentation.
• Review work sites for endangered species, habitats, and incompatible vegetation.
• Safely patrol energy corridors, identify vegetation for pruning, removal, or protection per Client standards.
• Classify prescribed work and use herbicide as needed.
• Conduct Tree Risk Assessments and analyze growth rates.
• Mark vegetation and prescribe clearance actions per Client directives and ANSI/ISA standards.
• Engage with landowners and agencies; obtain permissions and communicate plans.
• Audit contractor work for compliance; investigate outages and address issues.
• Follow safety protocols and AMS Code of Safe Practices.
• Participate in storm and emergency response as needed.
