Montrose County Farm is seeking a dependable Farm and Ranch Worker to join our outdoor operations. You will assist with crop planting, cultivation, and harvesting, care for livestock, and operate farm machinery in a safe, efficient manner.

The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work early mornings and weekends as needed. Team collaboration and adherence to safety practices are essential to support daily farming and ranch activities.

Qualifications

• Valid driver''s license and reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in farming, ranching, or agricultural work is helpful.
• Ability to operate farm machinery and tools safely and effectively.
• Physical endurance for outdoor work, heavy lifting, and long hours.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to farming and animal care best practices.
• Effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops.
• Provide daily care for livestock, including feeding and monitoring health.
• Assist with vaccinations and transportation of animals.
• Operate and maintain tractors, harvesters, and other farm equipment safely.
• Participate in building and maintaining fences, barns, and facilities.
• Handle irrigation, weeding, and pesticide/herbicide applications as needed.
• Keep records of crop yields and livestock health.
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficient workflow and safety.
