Job summary

Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions is hiring a Facility Operator for our Commerce City, CO facility. The role involves joining a tight-knit team to produce asphalt binder, load/unload materials, and maintain quality with attention to safety and housekeeping.

Requirements include a high school diploma, basic math, Excel familiarity, and the ability to lift 50 pounds with assistance. Outdoor work in all weather is expected; standard shifts across days including weekends are possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Excel preferred.
• Ability to work without supervision.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to learn computer skills.
• Must lift 50 pounds with assistance and climb tanks.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Availability for days and hours as scheduled, including weekends.
• Outdoor work in all seasons.

Responsibilities

• Assist with testing products in the lab.
• Input quality specifications and batch data into reports.
• Sample product quality.
• Load and unload trucks and railcars.
• Conduct minor maintenance on equipment in the plant.
• Attend daily production/quality/EHS meetings.
• Utilize safety tools and maintain housekeeping.
• Stay current on required training.
• Wear provided PPE and communicate with team and customers.
