Job summary

Mayor and City Council of Baltimore is seeking a Laborer to perform routine physical labor on construction, maintenance, and solid waste projects. The role involves outdoor work, potential weekends, and shift rotations with overtime for emergencies, under close supervision.

The position requires the ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and operate basic equipment. Valid MD driver’s license is preferred; forklift certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine physical labor on construction, maintenance, demolition, highways or solid waste projects.
• Receive incoming freight and operate forklift or power jack when needed ( forklift certification a plus).
• Oversee basics of everyday maintenance on a van or car and make deliveries.
• Organize warehouse and restock monthly.
• Provide general help inside production and assist with paper handling from the warehouse.
