Job summary

B&D Contractors, a Houston-based, multi-disciplined commercial general contractor, is seeking an adaptable Superintendent to lead day-to-day construction activities, coordinate schedules, crews, and subcontractors, and work with the Project Manager to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.

You will oversee quality, enforce safety programs, and report progress with daily updates and photos in Procore.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a related industry; construction or landscape construction experience preferred.
• 2 years of superintendent experience preferred.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Premier, Procore, AutoCAD, MS Project, and Primavera).

Responsibilities

• Oversees/supervises projects from beginning to completion to make sure that specs are followed and completed under Standard Operating Procedures guidelines.
• Schedules and coordinates subcontractors and crews.
• Encourages and enforces company and OSHA Safety program.
• Manages progress updates with crews and subcontractors.
• Informs Project Managers of changes, problems, or plan discrepancies.
• Keeps regular accounts in the form of daily reports and photos in Procore on a daily basis.
• Ensures the quality of work is within the guidelines of construction documents using B&D quality control standards.
• This role provides supervision to others through motivation, direction, review, and feedback of assigned tasks.
