Job summary

Buckhorn Camp and Retreat Center in Bellvue, Colorado, is seeking a Summer Camp Counselor to supervise and support campers during the June 1 to August 1 session. You will live with a group of campers, model positive behavior, and help run activities under the guidance of the Program Director and Site Director.

This role requires minimum age 18, ability to work outdoors with children, strong teamwork, and a safety‑minded attitude.

Responsibilities

• Live with a group of campers and supervise them during camp sessions.
• Work cooperatively with other staff members and participate in staff training.
• Assist in evaluating each camp session and ensure camper safety.
• Ensure safety and wellbeing of campers physically and emotionally.
• Lead and participate in camp activities and program areas.
• Follow camp rules and staff manual across all activities.
• Maintain punctuality, cleanliness, and sportsmanship as a role model.
• Communicate effectively with campers' parents and guardians.
• Complete required paperwork and health information in a timely manner.
• Provide a supportive and engaging camp experience for all campers.
