Job summary

Dunn Construction Company, Inc. is seeking an Asphalt Laborer to perform physical labor at asphalt plants or construction sites. You will operate hand and power tools, spread asphalt and other materials, lift and carry supplies, and help keep sites clean and safe.

The role requires endurance for extreme weather and the ability to follow directions and safety rules. This full-time, non-exempt position reports to the Foreman in Field Operations and supports crew activities, traffic control as

Qualifications

• Experience in asphalt or construction labor preferred.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and safety procedures.
• High school diploma or GED helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manual Labor Support - Perform physical labor tasks at asphalt plants and/or construction sites in support of crew and production operations.
• Tool & Equipment Operation - Operate hand and power tools, including shovels, rakes, measuring equipment, and other tools and instruments, as directed.
• Material Handling - Work with and spread asphalt, gravel, and other materials as part of paving and construction operations.
• Lifting & Carrying - Lift and carry materials, tools, and supplies required for job site operations.
• Site & Equipment Cleanup - Clean tools, equipment, and materials, and clean up rubble, debris, and other waste from the work site.
• Traffic Control Support - Assist with traffic control and support other craft workers on the job site as needed.
• Weather Adaptability - Perform assigned duties in extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, and precipitation.
• General Support - Perform other duties as assigned that are necessary to support crew and project operations.
