Qualifications

• 3-5 years previous buying experience preferred
• 3-5 years management experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of retail, clothing, footwear, and accessories
• Excellent Excel skills and MS Office proficiency
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Ability to lead a team and negotiate category buys
• Strong data interpretation and decision-making abilities

Responsibilities

• Lead a buying team and drive strategic category decisions
• Oversee assortment planning and inventory through new releases, replenishment, and liquidation
• Develop trigger points to expand or discontinue products based on historical data
• Negotiate category buys and adjustments
• Analyze weekly and monthly performance to shape actions and plans
• Coordinate with store, marketing, and management teams to execute strategies
• Plan seasonal sales with resource team managers
• Supervise buyers, associate buyers, and replenishment analysts to meet goals
• Monitor competition and pursue competitive advantages
• Maintain professional knowledge through industry engagement
