Job summary

Juniper seeks an Agronomy Technician to safely apply fertilizers and IPM treatments across our landscape maintenance properties. You will diagnose turf issues, mix products per label, and maintain equipment and records while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a pesticide applicator license, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work outdoors in varied temperatures. A BMP certificate is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified pesticide applicator requirement and related licenses.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to clear MVRecord.
• BMP Best Management Practices certificate preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of pesticide, fertilizer, and herbicide products and calibration.
• Familiarity with turf and ornamental issues.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with management and the public.
• Experience with outdoor work and ability to work long hours outside in heat.
• Experience with hand and power tools and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Identify, diagnose, and treat turf and ornamental issues as they arise.
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and insecticides per label and safety rules.
• Prepare and mix products per label instructions and safety precautions.
• Operate tools, vehicles, and equipment safely and per regulations.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment cleanliness.
• Keep accurate records of products used.
• Correspond with work orders and maintain customer rapport.
• Work IPM duties using hand and power tools.
• Perform miscellaneous related tasks as required.
