Job Summary
This is an Operations position responsible for supervising the activities associated with night warehouse operations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supervision of order selection, product replenishment, order loading, ensuring safety and security of the warehouse, and providing management and direction to assigned warehouse staff.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily work and safety of employees engaged in order selection, product replenishment, order loading, including all warehouse functions, selectors, loaders, and night forklift operators.
- Manage labor hours and consumable supplies within budget.
- Prepare work schedules including extra work days and shifts as needed.
- Ensure proper utilization of company assets in support of the warehouse.
- Coordinate required repairs with proper departments.
- Review night warehouse functions and productivity reports; suggest efficiency improvements and cost reduction measures.
- Conduct daily shipping and loading audits, ensuring accurate documentation and correct handling/storage of materials.
- Assist with monitoring sanitation and facility/racking condition for safety and cleanliness.
- Train new associates and cross-train existing staff.
- Maintain associate relations through meetings and open communication.
- Monitor morale and respond to ideas for engagement and improvement.
- Enforce company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with Safety department on training, safety inspections, and investigations.
- Make disciplinary and performance management decisions.
- Perform duties of supervised employees as needed.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or GED; college degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or similar preferred.
Experience
- 1-3 years related experience or training.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
- Obtain Powered Industrial Equipment Certification from Sysco within 3 months.

- Ability to interpret business documents, regulations, and procedures.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Basic math skills and problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency with spreadsheet and word processing software, and ability to learn company-specific software.
- Leadership skills to engage and lead teams.
- Ability to follow procedures, work proactively, and meet deadlines.
Physical Demands
- Ability to talk, hear, stand, walk, sit, handle objects, reach, and climb.
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Frequently lift/move up to 100 pounds.
- Visual acuity for various tasks.
Working Conditions
- Exposure to wet, hot, cold, humid conditions, and moving mechanical parts.
- Work hours include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Potential travel to other locations.
- Exposure to heights, fumes, airborne particles; moderate noise levels.
