Job summary

Job Responsibilities

• Partners with the Outbound Manager to direct all distribution activities including shipping, routing and administrative tasks to ensure company requirements are met.
• Gathers feedback regarding customer expectations, makes recommendations to the Outbound Manager, and implements appropriate changes to continually improve the customer’s experience.
• Provides input for efficient organization and layout of the DC by optimizing processes for picking, packing, and shipping customer orders while maintaining DC compliance with all governmental agencies and their regulations.
• Acts as main point of contact for all inquiries regarding outbound shipments.
• Works with internal partners (Sales, Regulatory and Quality Affairs) regarding orders shipped.
• Answers questions and provides information to resolve any outstanding issues in a timely manner.
• Pro‑actively communicates issues to appropriate individuals.
• Provides daily status updates to the Outbound Manager to review prior day’s performance and develop action plans for the current day.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related business field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Minimum of three years’ experience in a warehouse or production environment.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in a leadership role within a warehouse or production environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer skills.
• Experience and knowledge in distribution processes (receiving, shipping and inventory control) required.
• Forklift certification desired.
• Must meet any minimum certification qualification required by any local or state board or licensing agency, as applicable within span of control (varies by location).
• Green belt or equivalent in Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma preferred.

Must be able to stand and/or walk on concrete for the duration of the shift and complete tasks that include bending, stooping, and reaching. May require occasionally working in a cooler environment of 35°‑46°F.
