Job summary

MAT Holdings, Inc. is expanding its Shannon, Mississippi distribution center and seeks a Warehouse Supervisor to lead a 10–15 person department. You will organize daily workload, train staff, and ensure production and safety targets are met while coordinating with the shift supervisor.

Qualified candidates will have strong communication skills, RF systems experience, forklift certification, and a proven ability to manage a warehouse team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication and English proficiency are required.
• Judgement and decision making essential for daily operations.
• Adept knowledge of RF Scanners/Systems and safety policies.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office.
• Forklift operation certification preferred.
• Understanding of warehouse throughput and logistics processes.
• Ability to lead 10+ people in a warehouse environment.
• Shipping/receiving experience helpful.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Job Description

Lead a department of 10-15 in daily communication meetings and issuing each team member their daily work load. Train, motivate and lead the department to meet all daily production and safety goals, while taking direction from shift supervisor. Take on accountability for all department operations, actions and results.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce Safety and Company policies
• Train and assist, order pickers, checkers and loaders as required
• Assist in development of department performance and productivity standards
• Hands on as needed based on workload and manpower
• Maintain and update start, hourly and end of shift reports
• Attend all department and company meetings as required
• Assist shipping supervisor in directing workflow
• Provide input for employee evaluations
• Complete and/or coordinate department projects as assigned
• Maintain good housekeeping
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal skill
• Ability to communicate in English
• Judgement and decision making
• Adept knowledge of RF Scanners/Systems
• Use of computers and associated software programs including Microsoft Office
• Ability to be certified to operate a Forklift (Order Picker, Sit-down or Walkie-Rider)
• Abilityto understand the basic throughput of a Logistics Operation
• Ability to lead 10 or more people in a warehouse setting
• Shipping and/or Receiving experience
• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience in Warehousing
