Job summary

Arvato, a leading global 3PL, is seeking an Outbound Team Lead to manage the day-to-day Shipping department, oversee the outbound process from picking to loading, and ensure orders meet customer and carrier requirements.

You will supervise warehouse associates, monitor productivity, enforce safety policies, and collaborate with Inventory Control, Inbound, Transportation, and Operations to maintain workflow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in shipping/warehouse.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of warehouse associates during outbound processes.
• Assign work and monitor productivity to meet daily shipping goals.
• Oversee order picking, packing, staging, and loading outbound shipments.
• Ensure orders are accurate and shipped per customer and carrier requirements.
• Coach and develop team members and provide performance feedback.
• Enforce safety SOPs and quality standards.
• Coordinate with Inventory Control, Inbound, Transportation, Quality, and Operations leadership.

Job Description

The Outbound Team Lead will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Shipping department. Including all product initially received through the warehouse and the handling of all paperwork pertaining to that merchandise. Tracks performance and attendance for all personnel assigned to the shipping area. This position is also responsible for safety, organization and cleanliness.

YOUR TASKS

• Leading and supervising a team of warehouse associates during the outbound process.
• Assigning work and monitoring productivity to ensure daily shipping goals are met.
• Overseeing order picking, packing, staging, and loading of outbound shipments.
• Ensuring orders are accurate, complete, and shipped according to customer and carrier requirements.
• Monitoring labor allocation and adjusting staffing based on workload and priorities.
• Coaching, training, and developing team members while providing performance feedback.
• Enforcing safety policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality standards.
• Investigating and resolving shipping errors, inventory discrepancies, and operational issues.
• Coordinating with Inventory Control, Inbound, Transportation, Quality, and Operations leadership to maintain workflow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1- 2 years' experience
• Demonstrated Shipping experience in a fast paced distribution center environment
• Proficient computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Safety knowledge
