Job summary

Neovia Logistics in Joliet is seeking an Outbound / Orderfiller Lead to oversee daily outbound distribution and order fulfillment. You will guide warehouse teams, ensure accurate shipping, and promote safety and compliance across operations.

This role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to optimize processes in a fast-paced warehouse. Schedule: Sun–Thurs 6am–3pm; Pay rate: $23.00 per hour.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead daily material handling and warehousing activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Coordinate outbound order fulfillment to ensure on-time shipment.
• Verify quantities and shipment timing using source documents and reports.
• Train and mentor team on processes, safety, productivity, and quality.
• Maintain efficiency, accuracy, and policy compliance.
• Operate equipment for weighing, wrapping, packing, and shipping.

JOB SUMMARY

The Outbound / Orderfiller Lead is responsible for overseeing daily outbound distribution and order fulfillment operations to ensure the accurate, timely, and efficient shipment of goods from the facility. This role provides leadership and guidance to warehouse associates while demonstrating expertise in logistics, supply chain operations, materials management, inventory control, and distribution processes. The Lead serves as a subject matter expert, promoting safety, quality, productivity, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Schedule: Sun - Thurs 6am - 3pm

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and support daily material handling and warehousing activities, including receiving, processing, storing, moving, picking, packing, and shipping products, materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Coordinate and monitor outbound order fulfillment activities to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and shipped on schedule.
• Verify quantities, product information, destinations, and shipment timing using various source documents, inventory systems, and operational reports.
• Train, coach, and mentor team members on warehouse processes, safety procedures, productivity standards, and quality expectations.
• Lead by example in maintaining operational efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Operate and oversee the use of equipment utilized for weighing, banding, wrapping, packaging, and shipping products.
• Ensure the safe operation, basic servicing, and proper use of mechanical, motorized, and electrical warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling devices as authorized.
• Assist in monitoring workflow, assigning work, and communicating priorities to team members to meet operational goals.
• Perform and oversee specialized clerical and documentation functions, including shipping paperwork, receiving records, inventory transactions, and transportation documentation.
• Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities to enhance productivity, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Support inventory accuracy through proper handling, cycle counting, and transaction processing procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with supervisors, transportation providers, and other departments to ensure efficient movement of goods throughout the supply chain.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1 to 3 years of relevant warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain experience.
• Previous experience leading, training, mentoring, or coordinating the work of warehouse associates.
• Basic mathematical and analytical skills.Ability to read, write, and interpret work instructions, shipping documents, and operational reports.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting productivity and quality standards.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
• Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of varying items of varying weight.
• Requires work from heights of up to 20 feet from floor.
• Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
