We have Short-Term Material Handler openings with various shifts available at our distribution center in Bloomsburg, PA.

Warehouse Material Handlers/Equipment Operators are responsible for efficiently and accurately picking, prepping, packing, and shipping out customer orders while maintaining quality and speed to ensure customer orders are processed in a timely and secure manner.This position may require work at elevated heights up to 30ft. In this position, you may be expected to be cross trained in picking, packing, consolidation, truck stacking, and commons depending on business need. Warehouse Material Handlers are given extensive training for success in their position. You will be expected to be fast-paced and attentive to detail, willing to work hard with a good attitude, and able to embrace change. If you work well in a team-centered environment and are passionate and ambitious about meeting goals and deadlines, then you have found the right place!

Responsibilities

As a Material Handler/Equipment Operator, you will:

  • Retrieve items from racking accurately and efficiently, using our handheld scanning devices and ERP system, completed on foot or using forklift equipment
  • Sort and consolidate picked items using handheld scanning devices, preparing customer orders for shipment processing
  • Pack products accurately and securely using our internal SPS system, focusing on providing an excellent customer experience
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers, following all established protocols and promoting safe working standards.
  • Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy and quality of work.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership.
  • Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals
  • Abide by all company and warehouse policies
  • Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation
Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.
