Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking an Outbound Logistics Analyst to support KPI development and analysis for the outbound network. You will work with internal and external partners to improve cost efficiency and operational performance.

The role involves leading transfer execution, freight-related KPI initiatives, and collaborating across Distribution, Store Ops, Finance and IT to advance strategic logistics projects. A Bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years in transportation are desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Logistics or Supply Chain.
• 1–3 years’ knowledge of the transportation industry.
• Familiar with transport tech such as TMS, WMS, Yard Management and EDI.

Responsibilities

• Lead store-to-store transfer execution and outbound freight claims; design KPIs and publish to drive carrier performance and quarterly reviews.
• Support outbound logistics cost savings initiatives and identify process improvements aligned with department goals.
• Assist the Assistant Manager - Logistics with freight procurement, rate management, monthly financial reporting, budgeting and ad hoc projects.
• Collaborate with Distribution, Store Ops, Vendor Relations, Finance and IT to support project plans and business initiatives.

Overview

This position supports operational and strategic initiatives for the Outbound Logistics Department. The Outbound Logistics Analyst will focus on KPI development and analysis to support overall performance for the Outbound Logistics Network. The Logistics Analyst will collaborate with internal and external partners to support the movement of goods while focusing on cost and operational efficiencies. This position will identify process improvement opportunities as well as tactical and strategic opportunities that will support overall company goals.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Lead store to store transfer execution, Outbound freight claims, KPI design and publication to drive carrier performance initiatives including SLAs to support on time delivery goals and quarterly business reviews
• Support Outbound Logistics cost savings initiatives and identify process improvement opportunities that align with department goals
• Support the Assistant Manager - Logistics with freight procurement, rate management, monthly financial reporting, budgeting, and ad hoc projects
• Partner with multiple internal departments including Distribution, Store Ops, Vendor Relations, Finance, and IT to support project plans and business initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree focus in Business, Finance, Logistics or Supply Chain
• 1-3 years' knowledge of the transportation industry
• General appreciation for Supply Chain technology solutions, including TMS, WMS, Yard Management and EDI
• Ability to analyze large amounts of raw data and summarize into clear, accurate, meaningful, value-added reports and analyses
• Ability to work effectively in cross functional teams
• Strong systems aptitude with a working knowledge in transportation systems support
• Customer focused with strong interpersonal skills
