If you are someone who is deeply analytical, enjoys solving complex problems, and has a proven track record of improving cold email conversion rates, then this might be the role for you. From prospecting to copy to deliverability, you design the machine that our team will execute daily to turn cold emails into booked meetings for our customers—without torching domains.

Tech Sales Mentors (TSM) guarantees entry-level tech-sales candidates a job in60 days or they pay nothing. We’ve done this for 200+ candidates, with a 76% success rate. We do this by running a job search service that gets candidates into 2-3 interviews per week by applying online & cold emailing hiring managers. Your mandate is simple. Collaborate w/ our Outreach Manager and their team of 11 who’s executing and running our cold email machine on a daily basis, while you do the deep work of re-architecting & scaling that machine past its current bottleneck.The goal is to double the amount of interviews we’re adding per week, error-free, and on budget.

Responsibilities

  • Channel Strategy– Own and iterate email cadences; launching A/B tests & documenting playbooks on winning cadences.
  • Prospect Engine– Design and implement systematic processes for tracking and prioritizing active SDR job openings and contacts at those companies.
  • Analytics– Ship a dashboard every Friday with clear email conversion analytics in aggregate and by rep.
  • Personalization QA Lead– Spot-check team's email personalization, reject sub-par work, coach team until consistently hitting benchmark reply rate.
  • Playbooks & Training– Translate wins into SOPs; up-skill team on email personalization that lands & on prospects that respond.
  • Automation– Spec, build, and QA new zaps, scrapers, and webhooks that help you and the Outreach team do more work efficiently.
  • Collaboratewith Outreach Manager & CEO on implementation of optimized processes.
  • Deliverability Guardrail– Monitor domain pools; keep bounce < 3 % and spam < 0.1 %.

Results

  • Doubling our reply rateon a 4-week rolling average by Day 90.
  • Doubling our interviews added per weekand sustaining it (shared goal w/ our Outreach Manager)
  • Create a reliable system for tracking and measuring outreach performance
  • Automate & speed-up process of sourcing job openings & contacts

Requirements

  • 3 + yrs owning 1:1 personalization cold-email growth at 5K–20K sends/month (ideally in B2C, but open to B2B).
  • Portfolio of tests that lifted reply-rate ≥ 20 %.
  • Tools: Lemlist/Instantly, Apollo or Clay, Airtable, Zapier, Google Sheets.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract insights from imperfect data.
  • Excellent writing skills with a focus on persuasive, personalized communication.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with AI-driven personalization or job-board scraping.
  • Experience in landing jobs / opportunities through cold email.
  • Prior work in talent placement, tech sales recruiting, or sales development.
  • $120K OTE, (90K base, $30K bonus)
  • US federal holidays, flexible PTO, Fully Remote
