Job summary

Energy Northwest seeks a temporary occupational health nurse to support the plant’s biennial outage in Richland, WA. You will assist with all aspects of health services, focusing on competency, processes, customer service, and quality improvement as they relate to the outage.

Responsibilities include conducting medical examinations, regulatory compliance, record-keeping, and providing on-site evaluation and, when needed, emergent care.

Qualifications

• Active WA state license to practice as a RN or LPN.
• An Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Must obtain and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training.

Responsibilities

• Perform operational medical activities of occupational health services.
• Administer and monitor the medical examination program for employees, including performance and analysis of medical tests.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations.
• Secure and develop records, equipment, and programs related to occupational health services.
• Provide physical evaluation services to meet regulatory requirements (NRC, OSHA, NIOSH, WAC, CDC, DOT, etc.).
• Evaluate and treat injuries and illnesses in a professional manner.
• Occasionally provide emergent medical care in the field.
