Job summary

The YMCA of Central Stark County is seeking an Out of School Enrichment Coordinator to lead a welcoming, safe program where children feel connected and inspired to grow.

You will coach staff, strengthen social-emotional skills, manage daily operations, and ensure licensing and quality standards across partner schools.

Shifts run Monday through Friday, 6:30am–9:00am and 3:00pm–6:00pm, with regional membership benefits and discounts on YMCA programs.

Qualifications

• Must have background check clearance.
• Experience with staff development is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice.

As an Out of School Enrichment Coordinator, you will:

• Lead a welcoming program where every child feels safe, connected, and inspired to grow
• Coach your team to create experiences that strengthen social-emotional skills, build confidence, foster friendships, and develop young leaders.
• Champion program excellence by leading daily operations, maintaining licensing and quality standards, and creating exceptional experiences for every child.

Starting Pay: $15.65/hour

Position Details:

• Must be available Monday - Friday for AM & PM shifts
• Shift hours: 630am - 9am / 3pm - 6pm (varies by location)
• Serve children in Kindergarten through 6th grade at one of our partner Stark County school district locations

What You'll Need:

• OCCRRA School-Age Endorsement, CPL Level 3, or an associate's degree (or higher) in education or a related field.
• Ability to pass a background check
• At least 18 years old with high school diploma/GED (required)

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience with staff development & school-age children
• Basic knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice
