Position Summary

Florida Atlantic University's Office of Undergraduate Research and Inquiry within the Division of Academic Affairs is seeking an OURI Program Coordinator in Boca Raton, FL.

Summary Of Responsibilities Include
  1. Manage OURI’s social media outlets (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter & LinkedIn), announcements, Listserv, emails, website, and various FAU announcement platforms to disseminate OURI related information, including student spotlights, current program opportunities, and other URI important information to the University community, with an emphasis on early student engagement.
  2. Co-coordinate the hosting of the annual undergraduate research symposium, including organizing the event space, initiating the online application process, recruiting judges and volunteers, collecting and reviewing abstracts, organizing presentations, and assisting student presenters.
  3. Coordinate the Undergraduate Researcher of the Year (UROY) program, including managing applications, abstracts, and assessments.
  4. Coordinate assessment of student research outcomes, including tracking publications and updating internal URI student data.
  5. Support students interested in research, and coordinate the student club, the Council for Scholarship and Inquiry (CSI), to promote campus outreach, presentations, events, and workshops.
  6. Coordinate the URI student travel initiative, assisting students with research travel requests, organizing participation in URI symposia, and other related activities.
  7. Monitor and respond to OURI emails and student inquiries.
  8. Serve on the Florida Undergraduate Research Association (FURA) committee.
  9. Perform other related duties as assigned.
