Job summary

Pepsi Bottling Ventures LLC is seeking an OTR Driver for 1st shift (3:00am start) to join our team. The role focuses on safely hauling product between production and distribution facilities across assigned routes.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid CDL Class A license, and at least two years of tractor-trailer experience. DOT physicals, driving skills test, and log maintenance are required.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL Class A license and valid medical card.
• Two years of tractor–trailer experience required.
• Beneficial to pass PBV driving skills test.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and medical requirements.
• Willingness to work shifts exceeding 8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor-trailer to production and distribution facilities.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safety.
• Position trailers at docks for loading/unloading.
• Maintain an accurate driver’s log each day.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

OTR Driver Role Overview

To safely and efficiently drive a tractor‑trail between production and distribution facilities.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Operates an 80,000 pound tractor and semi‑trailer carrying product to pre‑determined destinations.
• Conducts pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections to ensure the vehicle will operate safely.
• Positions trailers at docks for loading and unloading product.
• Keeps and maintains a driver’s log book each day.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• DOT CDL class A License required or must be able to obtain DOT Class A license.
• Two Years tractor – trailer experience required.
• Experience positioning trailer at docks for loading and unloading.
• Able to pass a PBV driving skills test.
• Ability to work shift in excess of 8 hours
• Ability to successfully pass DOT physical under guidelines set forth in Federal Motor Carriers Handbook.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical prior to first day of employment.
• (Must be able to obtain a CDL permit by the 15th business day and 45 business days from their date of hire in which to obtain the license, if CDL is not currently held.)
• Average oral and written communication skills.
