**DESCRIPTION**

This OTR driver position is responsible for transporting Tyson Foods' products in a safe, professional, and timely manner to our facilities, distribution centers, and customers. **Job Description**

This student driver position delivers Tyson products to customers with a certified driver trainer. The driver student will get hands-on experience to become a solo driver with Tyson Foods. This position is required to be able to work days and nights.

**Tasks**

- Driving and operating a tractor-trailer combination while monitoring the temperature of a refrigerated trailer.
- Ensuring all shipping documentation (manifest, security seal sheet, bills of lading, shipping orders, freight bills, etc.) required for shipment is available for inspection and accompanies the shipment upon delivery.
- Maintaining records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations, including driver's logs, fuel purchase records, mileage records, and others required by law and the company.
- Performing all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and complying with all Federal, State, and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
- Representing the company safely and professionally to customers and the public.

**Job Requirements**

- Applicant must pass a DOT urine test and hair follicle test.
- Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License in the state of residence.
- Age 21 or older.
- Must be a recent graduate of a CDL school, recently released from military active duty with CDL, or have less than nine (9) months of verifiable OTR Tractor Trailer driving experience within the last 12 months.
- Must pass a D.O.T. Physical Examination and Drug Screening.
- Must pass a road test.
- Must live in the defined hiring area.
- Must be willing to park at the designated parking area.
- Must have 12 or fewer points on the Tyson Driver Evaluations System related to accidents, incidents, and violations.
- Must not have a DUI or DWI conviction in a commercial motor vehicle.
- Must not have a DUI or DWI in a personal vehicle in the last 8 years, with no more than one in a lifetime.
- Must not have tested positive on a D.O.T. Drug or Alcohol test in the past 3 years.
- Must meet Tyson Minimum qualification requirement on the PSP report.
