Job Description

This student driver position involves delivering Tyson products to customers with a certified driver trainer. The driver student will gain hands-on experience to become a solo driver with Tyson Foods. The role requires working days and nights.

Responsibilities

1. Driving and operating a tractor-trailer while monitoring the temperature of a refrigerated trailer.
2. Ensuring all shipping documentation (manifest, security seal sheet, bills of lading, shipping orders, freight bills, etc.) is available and accompanies shipments.
3. Maintaining records for compliance with regulations, including driver logs, fuel records, mileage, and others.
4. Performing duties in accordance with company policies and legal regulations, representing the company professionally.

Job Requirements

• Must pass DOT urine and hair follicle tests.
• Valid Class A CDL in the state of residence.
• Age 21 or older.
• Recent CDL school graduate, military CDL graduate, or less than nine months of recent verifiable OTR experience.
• Pass DOT physical and drug screening, road test.
• Reside in the defined hiring area.
• Willing to park at designated area.
• Points on Tyson Driver Evaluation System must be 12 or less.
• No recent DUI/DWI convictions as specified.
• No positive DOT drug/alcohol test in past 3 years.
• Meet Tyson minimum qualification on PSP report.
