This OTR driver position is responsible for transporting Tyson Foods' products in a safe, professional and timely manner to our facilities, distribution centers, and customers. Job Description

This student driver position delivers Tyson products to customers with a certified driver trainer. The driver student will get hands-on experience to become a solo driver with Tyson Foods. This position requires working days and nights.

Tasks

1. Driving and operating a tractor trailer combination while monitoring the temperature of a refrigerated trailer.
2. Ensuring all shipping documentation (manifest, security seal sheet, bills of lading, shipping orders, freight bills, etc.) are available for inspection and accompany shipments upon delivery.
3. Maintaining records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations, including driver’s logs, fuel purchase records, mileage records, and others.
4. Performing duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and complying with all Federal, State, and local regulations for safe operation of a commercial vehicle.
5. Representing the company safely and professionally to customers and the public.

Job Requirements

• Must pass a DOT urine test and hair follicle test.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License in the state of residence.
• Age 21 or older.
• Recent graduate of CDL school, military CDL, or less than nine months of verifiable OTR tractor trailer experience within the last 12 months.
• Ability to pass a D.O.T. Physical Examination and Drug Screening.
• Ability to pass a road test.
• Reside in the defined hiring area.
• Willing to park at designated parking area.
• Points on Tyson Driver Evaluation System: 12 or less for accidents, incidents, violations.
• No DUI or DWI convictions in a commercial vehicle or personal vehicle in the last 8 years.
• No positive D.O.T. drug or alcohol test in the past 3 years.
• Meet Tyson Minimum qualification requirements on the PSP report.

Job Pay

$600.00 per week
