Job summary

Mallard Creek Polymers seeks an Experienced OTR CDL Hazmat Driver to join our team at the Charlotte, NC facility. You will operate liquid bulk tanker trucks, transport raw materials and finished goods, and maintain compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.

You will be responsible for pre-trip inspections, accurate log maintenance, and timely communication with dispatch and customers. This role requires independent work, a professional appearance, and a strong safety record.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class-A CDL.
• Must have Tanker and HazMat endorsement.
• Pass a DOT Physical and Drug Screen and meet all DOT Requirements.
• Must maintain DOT Medical Certification.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ year Tanker experience.
• Forklift certified or able to obtain your certification.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• Clean Driving record.
• Warehouse work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Transport freight to designated customer locations while meeting scheduled pickup and delivery appointments.
• Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and en-route vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns immediately.
• Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
• Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELDs), fuel receipts, trip reports, and other required documentation.
• Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS) requirements.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and management regarding load status, delays, or operational issues.
