Job summary

Mallard Creek Polymers, LLC, located at the Charlotte plant, is seeking an experienced CDL Hazmat Driver to join our team. The role involves local transport between company facilities and customer sites, with extended periods away from home as needed, and nights/weekends as required by demand.

Ideal candidates will hold a Class A CDL with Tanker and HazMat endorsements, pass DOT physicals, and have 3+ years tanker experience. Forklift certification and a clean driving record are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL with Tanker and HazMat endorsements.
• Pass DOT physical and drug screen; maintain DOT medical certification.
• High school diploma or GED required; 3+ years tanker experience.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
• Clean driving record; warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A CMV per federal, state, and local regs.
• Transport freight to designated customer locations with on-time delivery.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Secure cargo to prevent damage during transit and verify loads.
• Maintain electronic logs, fuel receipts, trip reports, and docs.
• Comply with DOT regulations including Hours of Service.
• Communicate load status and issues with dispatch and customers.
• Assist with loading/unloading when required; keep equipment clean.
• Interact with plant personnel and supply chain teams as needed.
