PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Over the Road driver: leaves Monday morning - returns Saturday

Responsibilities:

• Drive semi truck for deliveries to and from customers, following all commercial driving and D.O.T. regulations.
• Maintain truck logs according to state and federal D.O.T. regulations.
• Maintain communication via telephone and radio to receive delivery instructions.
• Ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of the vehicle and related equipment per D.O.T. regulations.
• Regularly inspect the truck for safety and operational condition, adhering to D.O.T. standards.
• Understand and adhere to the truck's weight capacity limits.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, customers, suppliers, and team members to promote teamwork and operational efficiency.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections as per government guidelines.
• Comply with Federal Hours of Service regulations.
• Meet scheduled delivery routes and deadlines.
• Maintain a safe driving record.
• Inventory and weigh materials or products, recording weights on appropriate tags, labels, or schedules.
