Job summary

Dyno Nobel, Inc. in the United States is seeking an experienced Over The Road dispatcher to manage hazardous materials fleet logistics, routing, and freight optimization. You will coordinate with drivers, customers, and plant teams to ensure safe, on-time delivery and efficient scheduling.

Qualifications

• CDL with Doubles/Triples, Tanker and Hazmat endorsements preferred.
• Bachelor's or associate degree in transportation or logistics preferred.
• Must pass ATF background check to be possessor of explosives.
• 2+ years of truck dispatcher experience in a similar industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and TMS.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and laws.
• Positive attitude and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Daily assignments of drivers and truck fleet including dispatch, routing, equipment planning and utilization.
• Arrange outbound and inbound loads to optimize efficiency and profit.
• Daily monitoring and tracking of hazardous materials shipments and communication with drivers.
• Communicating with customers about product details, delivery or pickup times, and special handling requests.
• Coordinating with plant distribution personnel daily to understand manufacturing scheduling needs.
• Preparing dispatch documents as well as generating invoices and bills.
• Maintaining records of dispatched calls, deliver routes, route changes, as well as delivery times.
• Reviewing driver logs including dispatched calls and arrival times.
• Logging customer shipping schedules and complaints.

What You'll Do

Other duties include:

What We're Looking For:

• Class A CDL with Doubles/Triples, Tanker and Hazmat endorsement (or willingness to obtain endorsements)
• Bachelor's or associate degree in transportation or logistics preferred
• Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.
• 2+ years of experience as a truck dispatcher in a similar industry
• Proficiency in office software, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
• Experience with Transportation Management Software (TMS)
• Knowledge of applicable transportation regulations and laws
• Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
