Job summary

Optimum Staffing , Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL truck driver for Houston, TX. The role focuses on long-haul routes with weekends off and night/weekend rest periods as needed.

You will operate an automatic sleeper tractor with flatbed/conestoga equipment, transport aerospace materials, and perform touch freight with an electric pallet jack across Texas, with weekly trips to Wellington, KS and potential routes to Laval, Canada.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with 24 months of verifiable driving experience.
• Must be 23 years of age or older.
• Comfortable with OTR driving and spending nights away from home.
• Comfortable operating flatbed/conestoga equipment.
• Flexible with varying AM dispatch times and route assignments.
• Willing and able to perform touch freight using an electric pallet jack.
• Must pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background checks.
• No DUIs/DWIs within the last 5 years and no more than 3 moving violations within the last 36 months.

Responsibilities

• Earn $1,800 Guaranteed/WK with Potential to Earn More.
• Compensation based on mileage, stops, drops, and per diem.
• Weekends Off! Typically Monday–Friday.
• Operate an Automatic Sleeper Tractor with Flatbed/Conestoga equipment.
• Run once weekly to Wellington, KS, then complete routes throughout Texas for the remainder of the week.
• Transport aerospace materials with approximately 10-hour driving shifts.
• Touch Freight: Assist with unloading freight using an electric pallet jack.
• Potential opportunity for routes to Laval, Canada based on customer needs.
