Position Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring proper pickup and delivery of Tyson products. Drivers must live in a defined hiring area and be willing to operate across all 48 states, including various hours and night shifts. They must deliver to all Tyson Locations and Tyson Customer Locations as per requirements. Compliance with all regulations in Section 391.11 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Regulations Book is mandatory.
Physical Demands and Work Environment: Use safe lifting techniques; regularly open a CMV's hood, trailer doors, and operate landing gear. The role requires standing on concrete floors, walking, sitting, handling objects, reaching, balancing, stooping, and communicating verbally. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, along with the ability to recognize audible alerts from industrial equipment and vehicles.
Work may involve wet, slippery, hot, dry, dusty, and cold environments. Personal Protective Equipment such as hearing protection, reflective vests, and closed-toed shoes are required when outside the truck. Safety policies must be followed, with training provided to recognize and mitigate risks.
