Job Description

Position Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring proper pickup and delivery of Tyson products. Drivers must live in a defined hiring area and be willing to operate across all 48 states, including various hours and night shifts. Deliveries must be made to all Tyson Locations and Tyson Customer Locations as per requirements. Drivers must comply with all regulations outlined in Section 391.11 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Regulations Book.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Physical: Use safe lifting techniques; regularly open a CMV's hood, trailer doors, and operate landing gear. Must stand, walk, sit, handle objects, reach, balance, stoop, talk, and hear. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Recognize audible alerts from industrial equipment and vehicles.
• Environment: Work on wet, slippery, hot, dry, dusty, and cold surfaces.
• Personal Protective Equipment: Use hearing protection as needed; wear reflective vests and closed-toed shoes outside of the truck.
• Safety: Follow all safety policies, identify and mitigate risks, and be trained to recognize safety procedures.

Job Requirements

Must pass DOT urine and hair follicle tests.

Qualifications:

• Verifiable CDL A Tractor Trailer experience: at least 9 months within the last 12 months, or 12 months within the last 3 years.
• No preventable accidents resulting in fatality or rollover in the last 3 years.
• No DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions in a commercial vehicle, with specific restrictions on timing.
• No positive DOT drug or alcohol tests in the last 3 years.
• Cannot have more than 8 driving jobs in the last 3 years.
• Maximum of 3 terminations from Tyson Foods, Inc.
